...and the people behind it.
This site is meant solely for entertainment reasons. There are no affilations to Mr. Curry or his reps. We are just a group of fans getting together to discuss his talents..like singing in the bathtub (re:the picture). Seriuosly, great care is taken in maintaining the web site, http://pb_n_tim.tripod.com, and the yahoo group, pb_n_tim. Anything deemed as offensive (to Mr. Curry or other members) will be removed. Life is too short to be rude to others.
Liz - the group owner
I hope to someday meet Mr. Curry, but I also realize the probability and won't hold it against him if I don't. LOL. I am just thankful he does what he does and I'm really glad everything settled down after Rocky Horror so that he could continue his career with minimum frear of psycho stalkers.
On April 2, 2002 my older brother, Chief Warrant Officer 2 Scott Jamar was killed in action over the skies of Iraq when the blackhawk helicopter he was in went down. (Cause yet unknown to the family). He was defending the country and family he loved so much. It is to him I dedicate this site to. His determination and drive are an inspiration to me and help me get through the tough times ahead. He died living his dream and I am proud to say that he did not die in vain.
Things you should know
Hi there, this is Liz speaking. I'm 23 and living in the oven that is Dallas, Texas, USA. I've been a fan of Tim Curry since the tender young age of 10, however I do remember I really liked Annie and Legendwhen I was younger...of course ther may be no connection there. Clue is the fist Tim movie I awoke to. From that moment, I was his. Although I have had my phases of other actors, it is Tim I always return to. I think it's the familarity of him, having been a fan for so long.
Kat AKA Khrysknife - Group Moderator
A typical Gemini, Kat has had a penchant for the less-travel paths in life: doing “Goth” before it was popular, nursing an obsession with The Bay City Rollers AND Queen at the same time (crushes on Derek Longmuir and Freddy Mercury, talk about the dark and the light), falling in love with H.R. Giger’s artwork after seeing “Alien”, and learning she was good at stuff like writing, messing with computers, and reading the Tarot, among other things. Her current project is encouraging her daughter to continue in creating artwork using the computer as her medium. While maintaining a public identity of an “office assistant” at a local school district by day (hey, it’s a living), she lets her fingers do the talking by night as her alter ego, Khrysknife, who can be acerbic, sarcastic, witty, and even nice at times. Lately, Kat and Khrysknife have become interchangeable, so who’s to tell what may come of it all? Can you even hope to keep up with her?
Kat founded her interest in Tim Curry in 1974, when she came across some pictures of him during the filming of RHPS. Obliquely following his career for the last 29 years, she has finally decided to fess up and share in the joy of discussing Mr. Curry’s talent as well as his other assets (reader’s choice here). Deciding on which of his films is her favorite is still on the books, though she is leaning heavily on his more recent projects. Sadly, she lost her collection of his records in the aftermath of life happening, but is searching to rebuild it as you read this.
